Firefighters tackle Hastings house fire

The fire was discovered in the starwell of a house on London Road at around 3.50am.

Three crews from The Ridge, Bohemia Road and Bexhill evacuated the building before putting out the fire.

They used four sets of breathing apparatus, one-in-seven foam and a house reel jet to extinguish the blaze.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are underway.
