Promotion. Mr Leslie George Stevenson has been promoted to Second-Lieutenant in the Royal Flying Corps. He is the eldest son of Mr and Mrs George Stevenson of St. Mary’s, Fletching, and joined in February 1915. After a fortnight he was sent to France as 2nd class air mechanic, but was soon after promoted to the non-commissioned ranks. Mr and Mrs Stevenson have a younger son in the Navy. Lieutenant Stevenson has the best wishes of his Fletching friends for his future success. Leslie George Stevenson was born in Fletching in 1895. His father was a joiner.
