Flood alert for Normans Bay and Cooden

A flood alert is currently in place for the coast stretching between Sovereign Harbour and Cooden Beach.

The alert, issued by the Environment Agency, includes Norman Road Pevensey, The Promenade Pevensey, The Parade Pevensey, Beachlands, Normans Bay and the Cooden Beach Hotel.

A tidal surge is expected shortly before 11am this morning (February 8). The alert has been in place since yesterday evening.
