Former bank sold
THE old TSB bank premises at the bottom of Uckfield High Street are to be refurbished to provide a new shop and offices.
Chris Lawson, of Lawson Commercial, said the building had been bought by a local investor and after refurbishment tenants would be sought for the shop and offices.
The premises never reopened after being flooded in October, 2000 but Mr Lawson did not envisage problems in finding tenants. 'They haven't flooded since then,' he said.
Mr Lawson said the shop would have an area of between 800 and 900 sq ft.
