Free advice service for deaf people

A mobile unit offering advice for people with deafness problems will be coming to Chailey and Danehill on Thursday, January 16.

East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre is a registered charity working in partnership with Adult Social Care to provide a no charge mobile information and advice service for the hard of hearing.

The vehicle, which is funded by the Big Lottery, is equipped to offer demonstrations of assistive equipment and to offer hearing screening tests if time permits.

The mobile unit will be in The Five Bells car park, Chailey Green from 10.30am to 12.30pm and in the Danehill Social Club car park, Lewes Road from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

The bus is accessible to wheelchair users, and representatives from both the Hearing Resource Centre and Adult Social Care will be there to provide advice.
