Free crime and safety drop-in

Sussex Police Officers and the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service are among those taking part in a Crime and Safety Information

Session at the Friends’ Meeting House, South Terrace, Hastings, today, Friday June 10, 2-4pm.

Organised by Hastings and St Leonards Seniors’ Forum’s crime and safety special interest group, the free session features a wide

variety of organisations.

Forum chairman Paul Broadhurst said: “The event is open to anyone and we’re hoping there will be a good attendance with so much help and

useful information on offer.”

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service will give a presentation on their free home health and well being visits for over 50’s at 2.30pm. These visits can help people stay healthy and independent at home and include a fire safety check.

Police officers will be on hand to answer questions and provide crime prevention information.

Others contributing include East Sussex Hearing and Resource Centre which provides advice and information on deaf and hard of hearing issues. Hastings Community Safety Manager is attending and literature from the Victim Support Service and Clinical Commissioning Group about falls prevention will be available. Free tea, coffee and biscuits.
