Fun on Yapton farm

SUPERHEROES banded together to give disadvantaged children a treat.

Fun on the Farm saw 200 disabled children and their families turn out to Fun on the Farm, at Hobb's Farm in Yapton, for two days of fun and frolics.

Organised by the Child Disability Team Southwest and funded by West Sussex County Council and charity Wellspring, the weekend's superhero theme meant firefighters, police community support officers and St John

Ambulance representatives turned out to wish the young revellers well.

Bruce Lampard, senior social worker at the county council said: "This has been a regular annual event for severely disabled children, their siblings and families, living in the south of the county.

"Entertainment in the main barn varied, with a puppet and magic show, a disco. and Bungle and Jingle's clown show. The clowns were in evidence throughout the day."

There were also trips to see the farm animals and tractor rides, as well as parachute games and a straw jump.
