Last year’s event drew in 9,000 people, and organisers hope this year will be similarly popular.

The event supports two local charities, Rockinghorse Children’s Charity and the Sussex Cricket Foundation.

The evening is presented by Domestic and General, and will include music from Concorde 2 with hosts from Juice FM.

Mark Judges, Sussex Cricket’s commercial manager, said: “It is fantastic to once again partner with Domestic & General for this flagship annual event which promises to be a fantastic family occasion for the local Sussex community.

“Working with such a large local employer to provide our community with one of the best fireworks displays in the South East is always a highlight in the calendar, in addition to being able to support two fantastic charities both of whom undertake such brilliant and important work locally."

Mark Nardin, head of Domestic & General Brighton, said: “As a committed contributor to the local community, we are once again delighted to be supporting this fantastic event. Now in our third year of partnership with Rockinghorse, who celebrate their 50th Anniversary this year, we are focused in helping Rockinghorse achieve its £500,000 goal. As always, this promises to be a thoroughly enjoyable night for our community and D & G colleagues.”
