The event was brimming with autumnal delights from onions and marrows to flowers.

Daphne Thomas, Shoreham Horticultural Society, said: “The cut flowers took pride of place filling the room with colour and fragrance.

A mention must be given to the exhibition of miniature gardens, and the display of Emperor Napoleon III of France coin dated 1855, brass bell and clay pipes which had been dug up from various allotments over the years, which caught the eye of the afternoon visitors.”
