Geography prize for Steyning pupil

A PUPIL at Steyning Grammar School has received a prize for an outstanding exam result.

Adam Plowman received an award from the Royal Geographical Society for gaining one of the highest marks in the country in the GCSE-level geography exam he took.

Head of geography Sharon Reilly said: "I think it's brilliant; it is an amazing achievement.

"He was very pleased, if a little bit embarrassed.

"We got very, very good GCSE results this year."

Adam, now studying AS-level geography at Steyning Grammar, received a 10 cheque and a certificate for his efforts.
