Get ready for Ninfield Carnival

It's all about to kick off in Ninfield - with Carnival fun and frolics for all.

This will start on Friday July 16 with a family quiz night and live music with bar and barbecue, run by Ninfield Bonfire Society.

Then on the Saturday, July 16, Ninfield Carnival Procession will leave Lower Street at midday with all the colour,fizz and noise of floats, bands, and Carnival courts.

It will head towards the recreation ground for the rest of the day where there will be a fancy dress competition, games, competitions, craft tent, stalls, hog roast, barbecue, carousel, archery and raffle.

During the afternoon events in the main arena will be from 1.30pm the ESRM Hounds, Ninfield Dance Club, 1066 Gymnastics, a fun dog show, terrier racing and the strong team challenge.

The fun doesn't stop as the afternoon draws to an end - in the evening from 7.30pm there will be live band 1066 Rocket Men, and the now legendary cabaret performed by Ninfield's own homegrown stars, which this year will be Cell Block Tango from Chicago The Musical. The evening will round off with barbecue and bar.

Carnival Committee member Samantha Guard commented: "There's a fantastic day planned as usual, hope the weather stays fine and warm...all profits again to go to the Alzheimer's Society, Research and Trust.
