Getting ready for adventure

Hannah Richards, Hathi Explorer Unit, and Daniel Maynard, Little Common Explorer Unit, will represent Senlac District, East Sussex County Scouts, and UK Scouting at the international event in Rinkaby.

These young ambassadors started their preparation back in February last year, and have perfected many skills including first aid, making a rope ladder, country code, fire safety, compass and map, and survival.

Every youngster wanting to attend the Jamboree attended an Informal Discussion Panel and preparation and leadership camps have also been held.

After the Jamboree the East Sussex contingent will travel to Holland as guests of Dutch Scouts.
