Getting to know the Sussex shore with Pagham Harbour marine madness

The sixth annual 'marine madness' '“ the biggest event of the year at Pagham Harbour '“ takes place tomorrow (Sunday, August 16).

Its aim is to raise awareness of the West Sussex shoreline and the marine environment, and it links in with South East Marine Week.

The event will be from midday to 5.30pm, at the harbour visitor centre in Selsey Road, Sidlesham.

Activities will include touch tables of local strandline finds, a marine aquarium, guided walks, a discovery trail, a bouncy castle, a gift and book stall and refreshments.

The British Divers Marine Life Rescue will also be at the event with life-size inflatable marine mammals, and will be running interactive demonstrations of rescues.

And for 3.50, visitors can buy a Pirate Pass which entitles children to art activities, story-telling, face-painting and creative cookies. No booking is necessary.
