Giant Sleepover comes to Little Common School

AN ATTEMPT to smash the Guiness World Record's 'Giant Sleepover' was held at venues up and down the country on Saturday, and supporting the national event were children from Little Common School Playcare Settings.

Over a hundred and twenty people took part in the Little Common charity sleepover, which was one of 1,500 simultaneous sleepovers held around the UK in which approximately 50,000 children aged 5-16 attended.

The annual event is held to raise money for the Save the Children's's Children's 'Emergency Fund', which enables the charity to begin work immediately an emergency strikes whilst they wait for additional funds to arrive.

Little Common Playcare manager Bess Day said the children had plenty of exciting activities to keep them occupied throughout the event including, "fun-packed games and entertainment."

She said she'd had a very experienced Playcare Team on hand, adding: "It was a great fun event and the children raised 350 for Save The Children - a very worthwhile cause. We were delighted to be involved."
