Giving it some welly at country fair

Steyning Country Fair came close to being cancelled because of torrential rain on Bank Holiday Monday.

But organisers took the decision to go ahead regardless at 8.30am because so much had been invested in the event.

A lot of people still went along and the dry afternoon helped in what was the second successive year of bad weather for the event that traditionally attracts 10,000 visitors.
