Glorious gardens open for all to enjoy

MORE than 350 people enjoyed a beautiful day in the gardens at Rye and Iden on Tuesday helping to raise over £3,000 for St Michael’s Hospice.

Darran Penfolld, from St Michael’s, said: “The walled garden at Mountsfield House was simply stunning with beautiful foxgloves, peonies and roses and Michael Gregory once again impressed visitors by firing a cannon at 2pm.

“Ferry Cottage, an amazing piece of history, is a quaint fisherman’s cottage tucked away, difficult to find but certainly worth a visit.
