Grand apprentice scoops top award
Amy Dahlstrom attended the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts/Bournemouth & Poole College Awards Ceremony at The Langham Hotel, London, recently she thought she was there to collect her three-year Specialised Chefs Apprenticeship with credit diploma. What Amy didn’t know was that she had also been nominated and subsequently awarded the Egon Ronay Award for the Scholar of the Year. This coveted award is bestowed upon the candidate most impressing with their skill, dedication and determination in completing their Apprenticeship course.
Keith Mitchell, executive head chef at The Grand Hotel Eastbourne, said, “Amy’s award just confirms my own recognition of her performance and is definitely a justifiable reward for the determination and dedication she has shown throughout her three-year training.
