Grandmothers' 900 mile cycle triumph

Bridget Huggett from Coolham and Mandy Faulkner from Pulborough made a pledge to cycle End to End for their respective charities; Cancer Research UK and Diabetes UK.
Bridget underwent successful treatment for Breast Cancer six months ago, and vowed to raise money to help repay for the excellent care she received.

Hide AdMandy’s daughter Rachael Hunter Dunn was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 18 years ago and has battled with the onerous condition ever since.
Determination to complete the 900 mile distance peppered with incidents and accidents saw the completion of their crusade to a successful end last week.
What began two years ago as just a verbal exchange and a desire to set themselves a challenge culminated in a triumphant outcome that proved two OAP’s can still compete and complete and ‘high five’ to celebrate their victory.
