Guides quiz night to raise camping funds

SEDLESCOMBE Girl Guides are organising a quiz night to raise money to attend an international Jamboree camp in Belgium.

The quiz night will take place on April 20, starting at 7.30pm at Sedlescombe Village Hall.

Tickets are available from Sedlescombe Village Shop for £6, to include a jacket potato supper.

Teams of six, please bring your own bottle of alcohol as the event is not licensed.

Claverham Community College students Maya Marie, 13, and Natasha Coleman, 14, were selected from a large group of Guides to attend the camp and represent Guides in the Battle district.

To attend the camp, they need to each fundraise £750.

The pair are working well towards their target, boosted by them also undertaking a sponsored swim of 21 miles - the distance from Dover to Calais.
