FARMERS MARKET: With the new arrangements for Hailsham Forward in partnership with Hailsham Town Council's Street Market there seemed to be some confusion as people generally associated the absence of the Street Market with the presence of the Farmers Market as until now, no two markets in the town have traded on the same day. The confusion caused people to think that with the Street Market trading, they had got the wrong day or that the two markets had merged in the town centre observing no noticeable difference. Thankfully the flyers Farmers Market organisers were distributing in the town centre reassured shoppers that the Farmers Market was continuing that day and on the Cattle Market site on the second Saturday of every month, along with the car boot sale running alongside which is growing in popularity. Please remember the Farmers Market runs on the 2nd Saturday of every month and never cancels. The Street Market however, now runs every Saturday and if it is cancelled, due to the weather, then you may well find some of your favourite street market vendors trading at the Farmers Market for that day only.
