Halloween at Curves

A curvy witch, a vampire countess and a bride of death - just a few of the staff at Curves in Sackville Road.

They're normally more wholesome, fit and healthy but this week they dressed up for fun when they held a Halloween themed day.

They invited members to dress up and take part in the event as well, and gave out prizes to ladies making the best effort.

The Halloween Day was the idea of Samantha Kelly, who herself looked stunning in a green wig, witch hat, fishnet tights and boots.

She said: "We have had pyjama work-outs and coffee mornings in the past, so I thought of this...It is just to bring members closer together so they can have a laugh. It definitely made them chat more as well."

Debbie Eatten added: "It was just about coming in and having fun. There has been such a good atmosphere, and the members have had fun - they have enjoyed it."

Debbie herself was dressed in the manner of Morticia Adams, while Cathy Hillman was "a spider vampire countess witch thing", and manager Julie Shields an extremely stylish zombie bride. Ruby Warren was a lovely little devil, with red horns, and Sophie Chisholm a vampire slayer who attracted plenty of attention at the traffic lights as she drove to work.

They were thrilled with the way members entered into the spirit of the day - for instance the lady who dressed up as a pumpkin for her workout, with a fan inside which blew the pumpkin up, and another came with a sheet ready to look like a ghost.
