Community bus Trip: If you are wondering where the Community Bus is going this month and when; it is off to the Steam Museum at Kew on Saturday, 25 March. However, I understand that it is fully booked but if you would like to go, speak to Christina and see if you can put your name down in the event that there are any cancellations at the last minute. Otherwise, the next trip is to Ikea in Purley on Tuesday, 11 April, leaving the village at 9 am and leaving the store at 3.30 pm; the fare is £7.50. There is another trip planned in April on the 25th to Twickenham for a tour lasting 1½ hours of the home of English Rugby. The cost of this trip is £35 (£20 plus £15) and the bus will be leaving the village at 9 am returning at 4’ish with a stop on the way home for refreshments. If either of these are of interest, put your name down and pay your deposit with Christina in the Hardware Shop.
Ladies Association: Finally, don’t forget the meeting of Handcross Ladies Association next Tuesday, 21 March in the Parish Hall from 7.30 pm. The meeting is open to everyone and rather than having a speaker as such, the theme of the meeting is that of an ‘Art Project’ with Helen Allen, with the aim of making Easter Cards.
