Harry Hill to present prizes to young artists

OFF-BEAT comedian Harry Hill will be presenting the prizes for a children’s charity art competition.

The Battle Committee of Cancer Research UK has been running its hugely successful Young Art Competition with 700 works of art submitted from 18 schools across Battle, Bexhill, Hastings and surrounding villages.

This is the fourth year the competition has run, with children aged between four and 13 years taking part.

This year the prize-giving is taking place at Sussex Coast College in Hastings on Friday July 4, 4-7pm, when Harry Hill will be presenting the prizes.

A spokesperson for the branch said: “We are delighted that Harry Hill is coming and hope that many of the young artists and their families will come to see him.

“We would like to thank all the schools taking part, the children who have entered and their families for supporting Cancer Research UK.

“We would also like to thank Alan Hunting Associates Battle and Spoilt Rotten, Battle, for donating prizes, and all the local businesses who have placed an advert in the Young Art brochure.

The exhibition will be open to the public on Saturday July 5 from 10am-4pm.
