Harvest for homeless

GORING First School made its traditional walk across to St Mary's Church for an annual harvest service on Friday.

Families joined the pupils of the Mulberry Lane school for the service, which was planned by year three children.

Pupils donated harvest gifts and a collection took place, raising nearly 100 in aid of Worthing Churches' Homeless Projects.

Headteacher Dawn Kearney said: "The church service is always a special occasion, with the whole school making the trip across to the church."
