Has this man been in your guest house?

Guest house owners are being warned to watch out for a man who is staying in hotels across 1066 Country and making off without paying the bill.

Police are trying to find Allan Goodin who is now wanted for 16 separate charges of theft and deception.

Detective Constable Sarah Richards, who is investigating the case, said: "His usual trick is to book into a bed and breakfast posing as a paying guest.

"There he will stay for a number of nights before stealing from the premises, often from the guest house owner themselves, and then making off without paying for his stay."

Goodin appeared on the BBC Crimewatch programme in the 'rogues gallery' in June, where the presenters appealed for information as to his whereabouts.

Unfortunately he could not be traced and detectives are now launching a fresh appeal for information.

He has booked bed and breakfast rooms using a number of different names in the past and police said Goodin is adept at hiding his identity.

Goodin booked into a Bohemia Road bed and breakfast in July where he stayed for a number of nights before breaking into the owners' own private rooms and stealing 800 cash and sentimental jewellery worth more than 1,000.

He stayed in another Hastings guest house in September last year where he disappeared after staying for three nights, leaving his bill unpaid.

Detective Constable Sarah Richards, who is investigating the case, said: "Allan Goodin is known to frequent Hastings and commit these type of offences while here.

"If he is currently in your guest house please call us straight away on 0845 6070999, or if he has stayed with you at any time, detectives would like to talk to you, as your information could be vital in catching this man."
