HAVE YOU BEEN VICTIM OF ANTIQUES RAID?

POLICE are displaying antiques and other valuables on a special website in the hope they can find the rightful owners.

The antiques, grandfather, grandmother and other clocks, silverware and vases were recovered after being stolen from homes in Sussex and neighbouring counties.

Anyone who has been the victim of this type of burglary should log onto the Sussex Police website on: www.sussex.police.uk '“ click on site map > property auctions > recovered and seized property > then enter the word 'Harwich' into the search field to see a list and photographs.

Insp. Jeff Riley said: 'As part of an ongoing investigation we do want to establish the true owners of this property.

'It may hold sentimental value or have been in a family's possession for many years.'
