The winning fine art shot features a young girl sitting on a suitcase and putting on a shoe.

Ms Tate won £6,000 of photographic equipment, albums and products while the customer who featured in the winning photo won £500 to spend in her studio.

She said: “I feel very proud as it’s the first national family portrait award I have ever won and it’s only the second time I’ve entered this competition. It was a huge achievement for me as there were so many fabulous entries. I was the only person to have five pictures in the finals.

“The award is great timing as I’m trying to introduce fine art photography into my studio. Fine art photography gives a vintage look. It’s fairly new to the industry but is becoming popular very quickly as an alternative to hanging a masterpiece on their wall. People really love the style of the photos.”
