CROSS IN HAND WI: At our meeting on August 24, members were inspired by our speaker Gillian Lloyd, who at the age of fifty took up photography and has gone on to win several coveted awards for her amazing wildlife photographs. There was an opportunity to view lots of Gillian’s work and find out about the places she has visited in order to capture those unique and beautiful pictures. Joyce Bryant won the best animal ornament competition and birthday flowers were presented to Betty Dabson, Toni Mehra, Barbara Norris, Joyce Parrott, Sue Tranter and Anita Jobling. Plans are in place for a trip to Merriements Garden Centre in September, and our next meeting will take place on Wednesday September 28, at 2pm in Cross-In-Hand Village Hall, when our guest speaker will be Mr K Gordon with a talk entitled The History of Eastbourne Police.
