Year 4, 5 and 6 children at St. Thomas’ School Winchelsea started the new term with an exciting all day workshop about Vikings linked to the new National History Curriculum.

The day involved dressing up, face painting, trying food, spinning wool, making jewellery and even a battle on the school field.

Diane Nunn, from the school, said: “It was enjoyed by all who took part and provided an excellent way to show the children how Vikings lived.

The workshop was provided by Living History who are a local company specialising in Ancient History Workshops.
