Honeymoon From Hell

ARE these two the unluckiest honeymooners ever? They certainly think so and with good reason.

John and Paula Willard jetted off to the Alps to enjoy a skiing holiday following their wedding at Worthing Register Office.

But joy soon turned to frustration as: the taxi to take them to the airport failed to arrive; the pilot on the outward flight was sick; Toulouse Airport was evacuated in a bomb scare; the coach broke down and its replacement crashed en route to their resort; John fractured his shoulder; their car back home was broken into and their flat in Victoria Road, Worthing, burgled.

John, 32, a manager at Focus DIY, Littlehampton, said: "It's just so bizarre. People ask what happened, I don't know where to start."

Following a frantic search for a replacement taxi to get them to the airport, John and Paula learned their pilot was sick and a replacement was two hours away.

Once in Toulouse they boarded their coach, which promptly broke down. A replacement arrived but then the airport was evacuated in a security alert and they were further delayed.

Hoping the worst was behind them, the couple left the airport but their coach crashed and the bumper was torn off.

And then it really started to go wrong.
