SussexSurrey Doors and Windows Ltd set aside a donation from all new orders during July and August, following promotion of their summer charity campaign to raise both funds and awareness of dementia.

The company managed to raise £690 for the charity.

Julie Blandford, from SussexSurrey Doors and Windows Ltd, said: “We decided to choose Alzheimer’s Society because dementia is such a huge issue for so many people and to see a loved one changed by this terrible condition is heart wrenching.

“It’s great to think that we have raised funds to help support people to live well with dementia and to fund research to one day find a cure for dementia.”

Alzheimer’s Society community fundraiser Jess Hillicks welcomed the company’s decision to boost the charity. She said: “It’s great that they are giving a proportion of their profits to support Alzheimer’s Society.

Dementia can happen to anyone and there is currently no cure. But with the right support, people can live well with dementia.

“As a charity, we rely on the generosity of companies like SussexSurrey Doors and Windows Ltd to help us continue our vital work so that Alzheimer’s Society can continue leading the fight against dementia.”
