Horsham nursing home given ‘good’ rating

Rapkyns Nursing Home in Guildford Road was rated ‘good’ for the categories ‘effective’, ‘caring’, ‘responsive’ and ‘well-led’, and ‘requires improvement’ in ‘safe’.

The report states: “People said that they were happy with the medical care and attention they received and we found that people’s health and care needs were managed effectively.

“An activity programme was in place that included film club, sensory stimulation, external entertainers, arts and crafts and a weekly outing.

“Staff were sufficiently skilled and experienced to care and support people to have a good quality of life.”
