Horsham’s Town Bands unite for Remembrance Parade

Possibly for the first time in the history of Horsham, the two Town Bands will come together for the Remembrance Parade this Sunday (November 10).

Musicians from Horsham Borough Band will join the Sussex Band of the Royal British Legion to add brass and percussion to the parade.

Three members, Helen Kedie, Gill England, Geoff and Kay Clarke, will be represent the Borough Band in their own uniforms.

Clive Longhurst, SBRBL Horsham bandmaster and former member of Horsham Borough Band, hopes to include members of the town’s main schools for next year’s parade.

This year’s parade will start at 10:25 am, from the old Telephone Exchange car park in North Street.

If there are other Horsham-based musicians, brass, woodwind, or percussion, that would like to take part in next year’s parade, email Clive Longhurst via the Band’s website.
