Hospice staff get set for santa event

STAFF at St Wilfrid's Hospice in Chichester have been getting suited and booted in preparation for the Santa Sprint and Stroll fundraiser.

Lewis Branson, manager of the hospice’s furniture shop in Quarry Lane, and his colleagues will be taking part in the fundraising event on December 11.

They and hundreds of others will be dressed up as Father Christmas while doing a 5km run, or a one-mile fun run.

Lewis, Kevin Tilbury and Tom Guy are used to running, dressing up and raising sponsorship money, having taken part in the Hospice’s Hike in Heels event earlier this year. They will be joined at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum in Singleton by co-workers Lorna Henderson, Sue Painter and Leon Stanton.

Registration costs £15 for adults and £5 for five- to 15-year-olds, which includes a free Santa outfit and free entry to the museum. Under-fours go free.
