Hundreds make thousands with Littlehampton mile
Hundreds of runners and walkers who took part in the Littlehampton Sport Relief Mile in the spring have been thanked for helping to raise more than £11,000.
The final total was announced last week, and Andy McTaggart, organiser of the Littlehampton event, one of hundreds held across the UK, has thanked everyone involved.
He said: “I would like to say a big thank-you to all the fun runners, Harbour Park, Arun District Council, Littlehampton Town Council, the Littlehampton Gazette and all who contributed towards putting on the event.”
Comic Relief, the overall organiser, is now planning the 2013 Sport Relief Mile, which will again be sponsored by Sainsbury’s.
