Hundreds of drivers claim from pothole damage
HUNDRED of claims for damage resulting from potholes in West Sussex roads have been submitted to the county council in the last few weeks.
The potholes are the legacy of severe winter weather.
The county council heard that around 500 had been received before the end of February this year- more than for the whole of 2008.
Cllr Andrew Smith ( Lib Dem, Chichester East) asked how many of these claims the county council had accepted liability for.
