Hundreds raised for Sussex Air Ambulance
About £800 was raised for Sussex Air Ambulance when a Walberton home held its first summer event.
The size of the likely donation delighted organisers of the fun dog show and summer fair at Walberton Place Care Centre.
A stream of visitors went along to enjoy its range of stalls with cakes, local crafts, bric-a-brac and plants to buy.
A hoopla and raffle provided further enjoyment.
The dog show was equally popular with scores of canines being entered by their proud owners.
The success of the day means a repeat is likely to take place in 2010.
