Icklesham Trust AGM: Tonight ,Friday 5 December,The Trust, which manages both The Memorial Hall and the Pavilion for the community, has its AGM in the Hall. Drinks and nibbles will be available from 7pm. This will be a chance to meet the committee and voice any questions which you may have. The AGM starts at 7.30.

The Robin Hood Bonfire Society presentations: Immediately after the AGM The Society will be presenting its charity cheques to various local organisations.

Christmas Craft Fair: Tomorrow, Saturday 6 December, from 10am until 2.30pm in the Memorial Hall. Every table in the Hall is booked. There will be an assortment of locally handmade crafts including children’s, clothes,hats,scarves,gloves,chutneys and preserves,wreaths,,jewellery and charity Christmas cards and stationery. The local Art Group will also have drawings and paintings for sale. There will be a tombola and refreshments. If you don’t know the village the Hall is close to the A259 and is next to the Recreation Ground with its free parking and children’s play ground.

Thank You: Sandra Stunt is handing over the organising of the Craft Fairs to Wendy Hysted. Sandra says “I would like to thank everyone who has helped and supported me with the craft fairs over the past couple of years. We have raised over £2000 for the Memorial Hall. The fairs also are a nice social occasion for the village to come together” Wendy will be taking over from February 2015 and Sandra is confident the craft fairs will continue to have excellent support.

The Parish Church: Sunday 7 December 10.30 Parish Eucharist in All Saints. Last Saturday’s Church Christmas Fair raised £881.61 for Church Funds. This is a great credit to all those who worked so hard and all those who supported the event.

Cricket Comeback: Icklesham Parish Council with the support of Iklesham Cricket Club are seriously considering a request from Rye Cricket Club to put an artificial wicket on the Recreation Ground. This would then be a base for Rye’s 3rd and 4thteams, These teams are to a great extent aimed at youth cricket. This will be an excellent opportunity for Icklesham’s cricketers, especially the young ones, to get involved and this will fit in well with the development of the new pavilion.

Archery in Icklesham: The Robin Hood Inn has agreed to the setting up of an Archery Club within its grounds. It is proposed to hold a meeting at the pub on Tuesday 13 January 2015 starting at 7.00pm. The formation of the Club, fees etc will be discussed. School Christmas Fayre: Friday 12 December at 3pm. There will be carol singing from 2.45. Father Christmas will be in his grotto and there will be games,a teddy tombola and a chance to make your own Christmas crafts plus other stalls and a chocolate tombola.
