The report in last week’s village voice of the cricket played on Sunday 21 July was erroneous. Stuart Baker who pointed this out said: “Icklesham Cricket Club 88 Verdayne (Croydon) 137. Thanks to Adam Stunt for organising this game, it was good to see a game played on the recreation ground again. The match was very friendly but at the same time competitive,Icklesham fielded first and there were some good performances from Aaron Leech, Jamie Flood, Jason Englefield, Paddy Horton and Adam himself, when it was evident that there were many cobwebs that needed to be blown away, but overall as Club Chairman I was very pleased that we got a match played. Well done to all concerned.”
