However you can book singly or in pairs and will be put into teams with other singles or pairs. There will also be a simple quiz and of course the murder mystery play. The Icklesham Players have cast their pantomime ‘The Canterville Ghost – the panto’ which will now be in March. The change has been made because they have had great difficulties in the past when snow has prevented members of the cast attending rehearsals. ‘The Canterville Ghost’ has been adapted by Janet Kates, who also directs it, from the short story by Oscar Wilde. It’s a great panto with a ghostly theme, a Dame, a Principal Boy and children doing a skeleton dance.

The population of this village is just over 1000 and of those 826 are entitled to vote. For last week’s election of a Police Commissioner 88 applied for a postal vote. The number of postal votes used is unavailable. So 738 adults could have voted but 96 actually did. This turn out was 13% – one of the lowest in Sussex.

Ian Mitchell, landlord of the ‘’Queen’s Head, is raising funds for Movember. He says: ‘This is the month of November, which has many men including me and my colleagues Simon and Mark not shaving the upper lip. Movember is a charity raising awareness and funds for men’s health issues including prostrate and testicular cancer. No big you might think to grow a tash for charity.

Wrong – it’s the most irritating thing I have done in a long time, at least since a bag of itching powder split in my trouser pocket.

Two long weeks remain of Movember for myself and Mrs Mitchell, so I look forward to a kick start from all who are able and willing to sponsor my furry upper lip in the noble cause of men’s health.

With this in mind, below is a link to the website where you can not only sponsor me but also see pictures of moustachioed and un moustachioed me.

Thank you very much - http://mobro.co/mitch777’
