Probably all the people who NEED to know the results of Iden Fete are well informed by now.

There will not be a Parish Council Meeting during August. The next one will be on Tuesday 3rd September at 7. 30 pm in the Village Hall.

It is hoped that by this date the updated Village Plan will be available which will chart the Council’s objectives for the coming months, based on the feed back received from residents. There will also be a review of the achievements to date since the Plan was first drafted in 2010.

The Police are working hard to get the Neighbourhood Watch scheme established. If you would like to become involved, please contact PCSO Dan Bevan on 101 ext. 19186, or mobile number 07796 1956 39.

If you have children or grandchildren visiting during the holidays, there are lots of activities at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. Full details are in the Playden column if you would read them there, please.

The 9. 30 am service will be Parish Communion led by the Vicar, Rev. Teresa Munro.
