Indecent assault on girl, 16

The girl was walking her dog in the Bolebrooke Road-Cantelupe Road area last Tuesday between 5.30 and 6.30pm when she was followed by a man of Asian appearance.

Police said the man followed the girl as she walked home with her dog. He made indecent suggestions to her before pushing her into a bush and assaulting her.

Police are also appealing for anyone who may have been on De La Warr Parade at the bottom of Bolebrooke Road and seen the man following the girl from the beach.

A man was arrested within 18 minutes of police receiving a complaint about the incident.
