It's so much worse than we thought

MANAGERS at Worthing Hospital were plunged into a full-blown crisis this week when it was revealed that the organisation's already massive debts were far worse than first thought.

The shock revelation that Worthing and Southlands owed 10.6 million '“ 4.6million more than they had originally calculated '“ was accompanied by news that two of the hospital's leading managers, finance director Lovatt Timbrell and strategy and development director Martin Pearson, had both resigned from their 70,000-a-year posts.
