Sally lived in Zimbabwe for 20 years and when she came back Jean decided it was the right time to leave Tyrrell's Newsagents so her daughter could take over.

The local traders contributed to buy Jean a beautiful bouquet to mark her retirement and all wished her well.

Sally said: 'It was very kind of them, mum really appreciated the kind gesture and is looking forward to enjoying her retirement.'

She added: 'Mum has bought a house just down the road, so I'm sure she'll be popping up to see everyone.' 14038
