CHRISTCHURCH Methodist Church is dedicating its annual Festival of Flowers to Jubilee Year

The festival in the Springfield Road church over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend - June 1-2-3 - will have a jubilee theme.

It will be open from 10am until 4.30pm on the Saturday and Monday and from 2pm until 3pm on the Sunday.

Lunches will be available on the Saturday and Monday from noon until 2pm. Cream teas, stalls and refreshments in the church hall will be a feature of the festival weekend.

A special festival service will be held on the Sunday at 10.30am.

Meanwhile, residents of Fernleigh Court are planning a street party on Monday, June 3.

THE North Bexhill Day Centre at St Peter's Community Centre is planning a special entertainment and lunch on Wednesday, May 29 to celebrate the Queen's golden jubilee.

CHANTRY Community Primary School is planning a special playground party to mark the Queen's golden jubilee. Pupils will be encouraged to dress in red, white and blue for the Thursday, May 30 event.
