Learn how to save a life with training

LIFE-saving training is on offer in Felpham.

Life support training may be mandatory in many professions but it’s essential and easy for everyone to learn. Whether you’re at home, work, or out and about your basic life-support skills could, at crucial times save lives.

Throughout November and December Inspire Training and Consultancy will run four free workshops at the Arun Leisure Centre.

Many people are often put off by learning life support skills and worry about using them in real-life situations, but these workshops could you the confidence to learn and use the correct techniques in case of emergency.

You will also get an insight into how and why the team use various rescue techniques with a view to carrying out the aims of first aid: preserve life, prevent conditions worsening, and promote recovery.

Skills taught at the workshops will include checking for vital signs, how to put someone in the recovery position, casualty management, and CPR.

The courses will be run on November 14, 21, 28 and December 5. They will start at 7pm and finish at 9pm.
