Lightning wreaks havoc across the country
A family from East Preston has been forced to move into hotel accommodation after lightning struck their home during a violent thunderstorm on Saturday.
The strike was one of a number of dramatic incidents caused as ferocious thunderstorms swept West Sussex.
Lightning hit the family home in Angmering Lane, East Preston at midday, blasting a hole through the roof and ceiling.
