Lindfield Flower Club: On the 26th April at 2.30pm in the King Edward Hall Stephanie Laing will demonstrate. All welcome.

Annual Parish Meeting: (This is not a Parish Council Meeting.) This will be held on the 28th April at 8pm in the King Edward Hall. There will be a short presentation by Peter Diamond about Fair Trade and an update on the proposal to reinstate the public toilets on the Common will be displayed. Lindfield Country Market: The next market will be on the 28th April in the King Edward Hall from 10-11.15am. All welcome.

Open Gardens 2016. New for 2016. On Sunday June 12th no.47 Denmans Lane, Lindfield will be open from 2-5pm. Admission £3. There will be tea,cakes, plant sales and a raffle. This is a stunning garden and well worth a visit. All proceeds go to St. Peter and St.James Hospice.

Lindfield Bowling Club: Lindfield Bowling Club joined a select group of bowls clubs to be awarded Clubmark accreditation in Sussex.

The club was recognised by County Sports Partnership, Active Sussex, as continuously providing high quality opportunities to new and potential bowlers, for outdoor flat green bowls and the chance to try indoor bowls during winter months.

Clubmark is the universally acknowledged accreditation scheme for community sports clubs. It shows that a club provides the right environment to ensure the welfare of members and encourage everyone to enjoy sport and stay involved throughout their lives.

Mick O’Donnell, Lindfield Bowling Clubs Clubmark Coordinator, said: ‘We are delighted to be in the first group of bowls clubs in Sussex to achieve Clubmark accreditation status. This achievement recognises the fantastic work by our coaches and volunteers who make this a club to be proud of.’

Brett Crowhurst, Development Manager at the Bowls Development Alliance said, ‘The Club is to be congratulated on achieving their Clubmark accreditation status which highlights the excellent work that is taking place at the Lindfield Bowling Club.’

Active Sussex is licensed by Sport England to award Clubmark status to sports clubs. Anthony Statham, Sport Development Manager, said ‘Active Sussex was delighted to support Lindfield Bowling Club through the Clubmark process. They have demonstrated a real commitment to developing their club and delivering high quality opportunities for people in their community.’

Anyone looking to take up bowls will be given a warm welcome at Lindfield Bowling Club who are always looking for new members. They offer newcomers both young and old the chance to take part in coached sessions, for children on Saturday mornings at 10am and adults on Wednesday evenings at 6pm.
