Neighbourhood Plan Referendum Result: Residents will be pleased to know that the Lindfield and Lindfield Rural Neighbourhood Plan secured a YES vote of 95% on the 28th January at the Referendum. The Plan's policies will now become local planning policies for our parishes and must in future be considered by Mid Sussex District Council in respect of planning applications within Lindfield and Lindfield Rural.

The new WI-to be called Lindfield Afternoon WI: At a very good meeting on 2nd February everyone present agreed to form another WI in Lindfield. 10 ladies declared themselves available for committee work and a President, a Secretary and a Treasurer were selected. The next meeting on March 1 in the King Edward Hall at 2.45pm will be for more ladies to join and for lnterest Groups to be set up. Thanks go to Yvonne Bee and Hazel Tester for coming to talk at the first 2 initial meetings and encouraging the ladies present to take the plunge!

Lindfield Bonfire Society: would be pleased to receive any donations of bric a brac, books and/or items suitable for raffle prizes as these donations really help with fundraising for the 5th November. Items may be delivered to 18, Beckworth Lane, Lindfield, RH 16 2EH. If you need collection please call Sarah on 01444 487470. A coffee morning: will be held from 10-12noon on the 24th February in the King Edward Hall. Come along and find out about your local Redwood Centre and meet Johanne. There will be tea/coffee and lovely cakes!

Lindfield Preservation Society: On Tuesday 16th February at 2.30pm in the King Edward Hall Douglas Wragg will give an illustrated talk called “Trust me, I’m an Engineer!” Douglas is a consultant engineerand automobile assessor. He has been an expert witness in several court cases including the Old Bailey. He will discuss some examples involving cars and other subjects. All welcome. Entry free.

Reminder: Film evening on 18th February at 7.45pm in the King Edward Hall. “The Lady in the Van” starring Maggie Smith.
