Tom is raising money for for the Lions International Blood Research Appeal (LIBRA) which supports the development of new cancer treatments at King’s College Hospital in London. He is also keen to raise awareness of the work Lions Clubs do.

“I am walking the South West Coastal path to demonstrate my determination to raise funds for LIBRA. It is a super Lions charity as all funds raised will help to cover the cost of medical equipment that is urgently required by King’s College Hospital.

“World renowned professors will use the items to develop new lifesaving treatments for blood cancer patients across the UK. Every year thousands of people in this country are diagnosed with a blood cancer so we really need to help make the best treatments available to them.”

This stage of his walk is 145 miles from South Haven Point, Studlands, to Brixham in Devon via various seaside towns and villages. He expects to take 12 days to complete it.
